About Can-Ruck & Coffee
We’re Canadian…
We take pride in being fully Canadian, and being a company based in Atlantic Canada, in Saint John NB.
Our roots go back to 2019 and the formation of Can-Ruck, a rucking/hiking group dedicated to bringing the benefits of the outdoors and rucking to our community.
WHY CAN-RUCK COFFEE?
There’s a special kind of ritual in sipping morning coffee before or during a ruck or hike – one that deepens the connection to the outdoors. The warmth of the mug in hand contrasts with the cool, crisp air of early morning trails, creating a sensory harmony that awakens both body and mind.
Coffee becomes more than a caffeine boost; it’s a moment of pause, reflection and appreciation for the natural world. Whether brewed at home before setting out, or enjoyed at a scenic overlook in the company of trail buddies, that first cup infuses the hike with comfort and intention, enhancing the quiet thrill of stepping into nature’s rhythm.
How Often Do You Roast?
We roast at least twice per week. Generally on Monday and Wednesday.
How does Roast-2-Order work?
We wrote software to handle all of the inventory calculations so that we never make more coffee than what is actually ordered.
Sounds complicated? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely!
What do you mean by Roast-2-Order?
Roast-2-Order means that if you did not order it, we did not roast it.
Why Does Roast-2-Order Matter?
Roast-2-Order matters because some very accurate calculations pertaining to yields, forecast totals, and available inventory need to be performed to ensure real freshness. Without those calculations, your coffee simply won’t be fresh. We do this in real time at every moment of our roast process and that insures that we only ever make exactly what’s ordered.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Your order typically ships the next day, however we reserve the right to take an extra day to do the job well.
